Adoption Updates

Whoops, a little overdue on these but the last couple of weeks have seen some great adoptions.  The following were adopted:  Kentucky, Gru, Flicka, Capt. Jack Sparrow, Odin (2nd try!) and Kyle, who went to live with his brother, Butters! Also, Marla became a foster failure because her foster mom loves her so much she couldn't give her up.

On a related note, we need more foster homes!

These little ones need to incubate for a while before they are ready, but you know I cannot close out an entry without at least one cute kitten picture!

They were living in the crawlspace of an empty house with their feral mom. There are five little darlings and they are approximately 4.5 weeks old as of 3/23/13.

Mama cat will be TNR'd and go back to the neighborhood after she's recovered from surgery (the neighbors know her and she is welcome back).

Weekend update 3/8/13

No adoption events this weekend as we give our kitties and volunteers a break from the routine
In the meantime take a look at some cute pictures of our newest arrivals

Introducing Panini! And her adorable little sandwiches!

Muffaletta

Cheesesteak

Reuben

Monte Cristo and Patty Melt

Yeah, I know, you could just eat them right up!
As long as they are tiny, I might refer to them collectively as "sliders"!

Weekend Update

Five kittens were adopted this weekend: Delta, Odin, Battleship, Cake, and United.  Congratulations to the kitties and their new families.

And one cat was relocated to a safe barn home.  Typically we don't relocate just one cat, but Sheba came in as a single and really likes other cats.  The barn she is going to has one barn cat (the other cat was very old) and we felt relocating two cats to the location may not work in favor of the resident cat in case they ganged up on him, so we relocated Sheba so she and the resident cat can be buddies.  Super nice people.

Gru - who was adopted approximately 5 months ago - was returned this weekend.  His adopter is being deployed again, and his backup plan (fiance) had to move to California and couldn't take Gru.  Gru is a great cat and we'll find him a forever home soon.
